Help / FAQ

How does the licensing work?

PAT Pro Flasher uses a 3-tier licensing system: (1) Master License Maker generates unlock codes for distributors, (2) Distributors use License Maker to create customer keys, (3) Customers enter their key in the app. License validation is performed against the PAT server with a 72-hour offline grace period.

Which CAN baud rate should I use?

Most Detroit and Paccar modules use 250K CAN by default. Some newer Detroit modules (GHG17) may require 500K. The tool provides 250K/500K selection in the left sidebar.

What's the difference between Calibration and Full Flash?

Calibration-only writes the tuning data portion. Full Flash writes both strategy (firmware) and calibration. For Detroit, full flash size varies by emissions tier (EPA10: 1.5MB, others: 2MB).

What are the 161/181 modes for Paccar?

These are specific Paccar ECM hardware variants (161J and 181H). They require different security levels and flash protocols. Use the 181 Read/Write checkbox and 161/181 Write button for these modules.

How do I update the tool?

Click "Check Update" in the app footer. If a new version is available, you'll be prompted to download and install it automatically.
